Hi Guys

I've spent hours configuring stuff and got Moodle 2.0 installed and Joomdle 0.82 installed.

I followed the following instructions step by step:

www.joomdle.com/wiki/Preparing_Moodle_20

www.joomdle.com/wiki/Installing_Joomdle_in_Moodle_2

www.joomdle.com/wiki/Installing_Joomdle_...functions_to_service

System Check Says Joomla to Moodle HTTP cant connect :(
and vice versa

And Joomla Web Services received an empty response from Moodle

I've attached a screenshot of the system check

Connection method is cURL

I've been through everything on the system check page www.joomdle.com/wiki/System_health_check

And the only thing I can see that could be wrong is this bit

You must enable Joomdle XMLRPC Plugin

You must enable the Joomdle XMLRPC Plugin in Joomla backend, Extensions->Manage plugins.

However when I go into my plugin manager I only have the following Joomdle plugins

I dont really understand what to do here (I think I've tried everything), the system is very complicated so would appreciate it if anyone has some easy to follow step by step help to sort the issue!

Thanks in advance :)

Rebecca

Hi there,

I guess you are correct, it is a little complicated but than you are trying to connect to massive platforms - Joomla and Moodle :)

A few comments:
- Your final questions related to XML-RPC plugin are not relevant as you do not see that in your system health check. This is for Joomla 1.5 and thus you will not see them in your health check.

Under your system health check you have three errors. Don't worry about the 3rd one until the 1st two are resolved. To resolve the first two, you may have 1, 2 or more problems depending on what they are. For example if you have a firewall that is blocking Joomla from talking to Moodle, and you fix this - this would like fix both issues at once. However, they errors could be a result of incorrectly configured url address in Moodle and/or Joomla. No matter how many errors you have they all related to the fact that Moodle and Joomla cannot find each other.

To solve the problems, you may try reviewing and following these links:
- www.joomdle.com/en/forum/r08-support/892...em-check-errors#9143

Most of the time the problem is related to the url entered, firewalls, url re-writing, etc.
