Joomdle System Check Errors was created by Courtney James
I'm so close to getting this to work.

I reinstalled Joomla (2.5.6), Moodle (2.3),and Joomdle (0.82). I think I set everything up correctly but the Joomdle System Check shows 2 errors:

1. Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity - Moodle cannot connect to Joomla

2. Joomdle Web Services - Received empty response from Moodle

I looked at the notes related to the errors but didn't find any mention of the first error. The suggestions regarding the second error didn't seem to apply in my case.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi.

1 indicates there is some problem in connectivity: check firewall, that joomla site is enabled...

You don't need to care about 2 until you solve 1.

What's interesting is that:

Joomla to Moodle HTTP connectivity passed the system check, whereas the

Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity failed the system check.

There don't seem to be any firewall issues. Is it common for one of the HTTP connectivity tests to pass while the other fails? Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Ok. I got rid of the first error by removing the "www." from my Moodle URL on the Joomdle Configuration page.

Now the only failed system check is:

Joomdle Web Services: Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle

I entered the Joomla URL with the "http://" included. I've tried entering the rest of the URL with and without the "www." but continue to get the same error message.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks.

I haven't seen any replies for a couple of days. Just curious: has no one ever had this problem before?

Joomdle Web Services: Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle

I can't see anything wrong with the way I entered my Joomla URL.

By the way, I noticed the following regarding MNet authentication: MNet is disabled.

Is this supposed to be disabled?

Thanks.

MSNet is not required for connectivity to work. This type of problem generally falls in into url problems and/or connectivity.

There are also plenty of discussions in the forum that discuss this type of problem, if what is listed in the documentation is not successful www.joomdle.com/wiki/System_health_check...uth_plugin_in_Moodle
