Source IP not allowed! was created by Chris Morgan
Hi - I am new to this so please bare with me.
I am using host gator.
I installed Joomla 2.5.6 and Moodle 2.3
I followed all the instructions but for when I go to the system check I get an X beside Source IP not allowed.
I looked through the online discussions but they all seem to relate to folks who are setting up locally.
I tried to follow the instructions but to now avail!
Someone please help!

I have tried O how I have tried. This solution seems to be particular to local machines. Mine reside on a host gator server. Would that have any effect on this?

This is the idea. Add localhost to redirect your server to itself. Try localhost first and then 127.0.0.1 if don't works.

Note that the term localhost does not imply my local PC. Localhost mean the "local server / machine / host" that the software is running on from that server's perspective rather than from the users perspective.

Duhhh..... sorry very new to this but I do have some tech skills. I tried those and they didnt seem to work for me. What did end up working is the placing the source ip that did have access into the internal IP field. Presto green down the board. Thank you all for enlightening me. And what a great program and excellent resources.
