[Closed] Web Service was created by Drustar
Hi,

I know that this topic has been covered before and I have spent considerable time going through the various steps but I still have an error.

I am using Joomla 2.5.4 and Moodle 2.2.2 with the latest version of Joomdle (R08). I previously installed Joomdle and it all worked fine, I then had to revert back to a back up copy of my htdocs folder as I made some mistakes but all configurations seem to be fine i.e. xml-rpc extension is active.

Now I go into the Joomdle component in Joomla and do a system check and get the following:

Joomdle Web Services Received empty response from Moodle

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I think this is the same problem I had recently. Can you check in your Joomla Admin panel under Joomdle configuration, in the first box on the left:

Moodle URL: www.yoursite.com/moodle / <--- trailing slash

Does the URL have a trailing slash? If your Moodle is set up in a subdirectory like mine is above, you need the trailing slash.

Thanks for your response Jocelyn. I was lucky enough to have a fairly fresh site when I started the Joomdle integration so I decided to uninstall everything; including XAMPP and install fresh versions of everything and I can now connect. I believe it was a problem with my version of PHP and missing openssl.dll extension so once I installed updated version I was simply able to add the extension in the php.ini file and it seemed to allow a connection.

My only problem is that I don't like how the moodle pages are served in my Joomla site so will go away and read some more about configuration of it so that it suits the site.
