Red cross for Joomdle Web Services Error was created by Neil
I followed the steps carefully and the installation looked smoothly. However, after all things' done, System health check returned Joomdle Web Services error "Received empty response from Moodle". I double checked Moodle and Joomla settings and found no problems. Also, after use Joomdle, my site became extremely slow!!! yet it did not work to link my Moodle with Joomla. Is there any solution? I am frustrated and I am thinking to stop using Joomdle but hope to get help before I stop it. Thanks!

I am in the same predicament. I have been working on that thing for the past 8 hours. And I still can't figure out what the heck is going on with that " Received empty response from Moodle " . Hope we get help soon.
Well, an update!!! I just realized that the message was due to the fact that I entered in the joomla configuration my moodle configuration as follow www.mysite.com/moodle instead of mysite.com/moodle . Try that too and maybe it's gon' work. Just remove the WWW. Mine apparently works fine, needs tweaking , but for now works fine. I can now shut down my computer and die in peace after 8 hours spent in vain.
