Running Joomla 2.5.1, Joomdle 0.7, and Moodle 1.9.16

I installed Joomla on my server in my domain's root folder ( inlightning.us ). What am I doing wrong? The system check continues to report that my url is misconfigured.

Thank you for any help!

Normally this message "URL seems to be misconfigured" is pretty accurate. Normally it means it cannot find Moodle.

Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry - I should have warned you about my newbie-ness. LOL

I carefully followed all the instructions on the Joomdle wiki install docs for my version.

Joomla lives in my domain folder inlightning.us and joomdle lives in inlightning.us/howto

I've run into a couple problems but was able to fix with help from the system health check doc on Joomdle's wiki. Maybe I am not understanding what that field is asking for...When it says Joomla URL does it want to know where Joomla is installed? Joomdle? Bob's your uncle? =D

I wish I had a better understanding so I knew what info to include here. I've tried using my domain (with http but no / at the end), the joomdle url, my server path, localhost, and a several cross glances. Nothing worked.

Hi again,

I assume you mean Moodle lives in inlightning.us/howto ?? Joomdle should not live anywhere except as an installation to both Joomla and Moodle.

When it says Joomla URL does it want to know where Joomla is installed? Joomdle? Bob's your uncle? =D

Both.
- In Joomla, you must tell Joomdle where Moodle is - this is done in the Joomdle configuration screen.
- In Moodle, you must tell Joomdle where Joomla is - this is done in the Joomdle authentication inside Moodle.

Joomla and Moodle know nothing about each other. Joomdle acts as a bridge, thus both ends of the bridge must be attached to that end's platform and also know where to see the other end of the bridge.

I must have something wrong someplace else. Nothing works. :(

Is it significant that the pull down menu for Joomla version in Moodle's Joomdle's authentication page only includes 1.5 and 1.6?

That is ok: 1.6 should read 1.6+
