[Closed] Moodle Joomla Virtuemart Joomdle

Hello,

I want to use the quartet Moodle, Joomla, Joomdle, Virtumart to create a paid online training website.

The functions of each part:

Moodle organizes training
Joomla: shows that training
Virtuemart: manages the payment of training
Joomdle: links together moodle Joomla and Virtuemart

It seems to me that there is no tutorial to create a full online training website using these four elements.

However I am sure that 80% to 100% of the information is present on the various documentation sites, forums etc..

I dream of a tutorial that is the following feature:

• The versions of each component and plugin used for the tutorial would be mentioned in the introduction
• The tutorial would be based on a functional approach to explaining what happens in a process of buying online training using these four elements (Joomla, Moodle, Virtuemart, Joomdle)
• Each step would be explained by stating

• The components involved
• The additional plugins needed
• The correct value of the different parameters of the elements involved
• The various links to the existing documentation to implement the step in question
• The common mistake not to commit

Thanks for the suggestion. At this time, we simply do not have the resources to make such a tutorial - especially since Joomdle is not a commercial product and thus has no dedicated staffing for such activities.

That said, as you have pointed out 80% - 100% of what you are after is in the documentation already in the form of installation instructions. You can find out how to install Joomdle in both Moodle and Joomla in the wiki as well as integrating Virtuemart. The plugins are identified and described.

The challenge is in flexibility of the parameters / configuration beyond the basic set-up as this is particular to your own site design requirements. For example: how the links behave; whether to show 'Section' above the course topics; do you want to show enrol buttons; do you integrate with Jomsocial; etc.

Given the complexities involved in integrating two such powerful platforms, Joomdle needs to have many options as both Moodle and Joomla allow their users to do many different things.

Naturally, we would welcome any one of the community members, benefiting from Joomdle, to volunteer to piece together a tutorial. We would be happy to edit and post for all to use.
