Synchronising users was created by Eric Serejski
Good day to all.

In the topic, 'Synchronizing users" ( www.joomdle.com/wiki/Synchronising_users )
The following needs to be done:

For Moodle to Joomla sync, you need to enable "Sync users to Joomla" in Joomdle configuration in Moodle AND the Moodle user needs to have his auth method set to "Joomdle"

Observation: The default auth method -- Moodle users --- (for me) is: "E-mail based self-registration"

Questions:
1/ For enrolled users in Moodle, would changing the option to "Joomdle" affect the user (e.g. password, ...)
2/ For the user "Joomdle Connector", should the default be changed to "Joomdle"?

Thank you,

Eric

Hi.

If users register by themselves from Moodle, you can change this is: Site admin->Plugins->Manage authentication->Self registration
For users created manually as admin, you can always set the auth method when creating them.

This only works if the user is already in Joomla too. If that's the case, changing auth method would make the user use the password he has in Joomla.

If the user only exists in Moodle now, you can migrate him to Joomdle in Joomdle->Users in Joomla.
