User courses grades not displaying Grade scale was created by Justin
Hi
I am needing some assistance, I have been trying to get this to work but just cant seem to get it right.
I have been using "User courses grades" to display grades on our website, I would like to display the grade scale on it but cant get it to work.
I have used the default "Default competence scale" in moodle I applied the scale to the "test portfolio (copy)" activity.
As can be seen in the screen shots if I use "User courses grades" it displays a percentage, if I use "My grades" and set it to basic view, the scale result displays. how do I get the scale result to display in the "User courses grades" report?

Hi Justin.
Thanks for the info. I have checked, and you cannot currently do that.
I have done some changes to try to make it work....although it looks a bit strange with the max marks and the totals still showing percentages...
If you are interested, I could send you a package so you can test, and we can work together to try to get a good display.

Great, I have uploaded a new package here:
www.joomdle.com/aux/joomdle_v2.0.1-UNZIP-FIRST.zip
I just modified it to return the formatted grade in the course grades view as the my grades view did.
Please take a look and we can go from there.

Hi Antonio
I have been looking at the "course grades view"
I have an idea of a layout that I think would look good and be functional no matter your grade settings, but I have some questions.
I created a course for testing purposes.
Firstly if you set "Show Grade Letter" to Hide in Moodle Grade settings the Grade scale as well as Real Grade displays, if you set it Shows it seems to overwrite all the grade display settings and only shows letter grades.
In Moodle Grade book I have set the "Grade Display type" of one activity to Real, the next Activity to Percentage, and the next to Letter, it however seems to have no effect on the way grades are displayed in the "Course Grades View".
What coding would I need to use to get each activity's "Grade display type" from Moodle?

Hi Justin.
I am really sorry for the delay. I needed some time to properly look into this, and I could not find it until now.
I have worked on some changes on the coursegrades view to try to make it work better.
Thanks to your notes, I could see that I was incorrectly using the "Show letter" config option.
I was also forcing it to use a specific format, instead of letting Moodle do its thing.
I also changed the "Max marks" columns to use Range instead, as Moodle does.
