XML-RPC Error (28260048): was created by Tim
Of all our students 2 have been getting the following error when they try to go to a course they are enrolled in. I tried any ways to get the error myself without success. However, having left a browser open for a long time and then clicking on the course link, I finally got the error. I suspect it is session related, but have made this video demonstrating everything in action for your opinion, expertise, and maybe even a work around! ;-)

Hi there.

I don't know what it is happening, but I think something you say in the video cannot be true:
- Link is different when you let the page open for a long time

Now, as you now, if you don't reload a page, it does not change. So, if you let it sit, even if session expires, link must still be the same as before right?

Try playing with your cookies to see if you can replicate the eror without the wait... You need to be able to make it show the other links somehow.

About the 2 links:
- First one is the one to be used when you use Joomdle course view instead of wrapper to show courses
- Second one, very long, is used to open the wrapper, redoing SSO if necessary (that's why it is so long)

So, for me it does not makse sense that the first one show, if you are using the wrapper.

Found it! Thanks for adding some common sense about the "changing" link to make me look at things differently. I actually had two different links to the "my courses" view. They are both com_joomdle links but subtly different.

Great explanation as always Tim! :)

I cannot tell you how you got your bad link, but I know what happens: as it does not have a default item id, it's using the default "course view" instead of the wrapper (note: I will check, as I think default option for that case should be the wrapper).

In the good link, you have configured the item id to use the wrapper view.

So, that's the difference: wrapper vs course view. I don't know why course view is failing, but as you are not using it, is not worth it to investigate in a production enviroment.
