How to create associations for joomdle multilingual

I would prefer if switching languages when looking at a course (or it's overview) would reload the same page in the other language, not navigate back to the homepage or the top level menu item associated with that joomdle page.

How do I add language association so the same joomdle page is loaded when switching languages?

I don't think that is possible, as Joomla just reload the page, and it does not know about what you did inside the wrapper.
