cannot see Joomdle plugin functions to add to service

I am using Joomla 1.52 and Moodle 2.0
I installed Joomdle .07

The Joomdle plugin does not show up under the plugins list in Moodle and I am unable to see any functions to add to the service. What am I doing wrong?

I unzipped the joomdle file into the auth folder of moodle. Moodle seemed to accept the new plugin but it is still disabled and does not show up under the Administration>Plugins>

Grr.

If it installs properly in Moodle, it should show up. Thus far I have not seen an instance where it has not. Did Moodle give you any notifications when you ran Moodle after you unzipped the auth folder in Moodle?

Some thoughts:
- ensure there are not multiple levels of folders below auth/joomdle, some times when unzipping extra folders are created
- uninstall the plugin, visit notifications, install again, visit notifications

I installed the auth_joomdle, uninstalled, installed.
No plugin. Could it be a version problem?
moodle 2.0 and joomdle .07 and joomla 1.5

I am thinking about just starting over with the moodle install. No content yet. What do you think?

Of course you can always try a fresh install however, the versions you are using should be OK. Did you have any problems installing in Joomla?

Hello

I have the same challenge.

The docs say:

"Once these files have been copied to the moodle/auth/joomdle directory, visit Administration Menu → Notifications to complete plugin installation."

Which files do they mean and do I need to create the subdirectory within the Auth directory whithin which they are to be uploaded?

Thanks for any help and Very Warm Regards

Inside the joomdle zip file you will see additional folders for the version of moodle you are using. Inside there is the joomdle auth for moodle. unzip that in the auth folder and proceed as per the installation instructions.

Thanks very much Chris
That worked great.
Now I am stuck at the adding the functions to the service stage.
When I go to add the functions and search for Joomdle there are none with joomdle in the filename screencast.com/t/RTLlu1IJ

I'm sure this is my last hurdle and I have been trying to do this for three days now :-)
Very Warm regards

Were you prompted by moodle to upgrade after you copied the files?
If not, Check that the files are in /moodle/auth/joomdle.

If that is not done, no functions will show up.

Hello Antonio

I was asked to upgrade and I selected yes.
I have now uploaded files into the auth/block and enroll directories and still have no functions to ad to my service.
In Joomla I have a failed health check because of a wrong auth token.

Shall I go back to the beginning and start again?

Thanks for all the help and Warm Regards

It's weird.

If you go to plugins->authentication. Do you have joomdle there?
